A Reflection — When Music Speaks Another Language
As an Italian-American, I have always felt a connection to the beauty and romance of the Italian language.
When I recreate my songs in Italian, something wonderful happens. Although I remain faithful to the meaning and emotions of the original lyrics, the music takes on a different life.
The rhythm changes, the words flow differently, and sometimes the same emotion is expressed in an entirely new way.
To me, it’s not simply translating a song. It’s allowing the same story to find another voice.
The language may change, but the heart of the song remains the same.
