Until We Are Together Again
By CheleMK
[Verse 1]
A day like all others, or so it seemed
Life passing softly, as if in a dream
A husband, a father, grandfather, and friend
Then came the moment no heart could comprehend
[Verse 2]
There’s an emptiness here now that you’re not around
We feel it all the more—your presence was profound
Still, we hear your laughter and feel your kindness too
But every day reminds us how much we’re missing you
[Chorus]
Until we are together again
You’ll live within the hearts of your family and friends
Though we cannot see you, your love will never end
We’ll carry you beside us till we’re together again
[Verse 3]
In every story shared, your spirit lingers near
In every treasured memory, your laughter still is here
The love you gave so freely remains in all we do
And every life you touched still carries part of you
[Bridge]
What gets us through is our undying faith
That you are now with the Lord in a heavenly place
[Outro]
So may you rest in peace
Until we are together again
May God be with you
And angels keep you safe…
Amen. 🙏🏻
Written for my dear friend Carol, in loving memory of her beloved husband, Cliff. May he rest in peace.
He Was My Boy
By CheleMK
[Verse 1]
Why, dear Lord, did You take him from me,
Beyond the sky where I cannot see?
A beautiful soul who brought me such joy—
He completed my life; he was my boy.
[Verse 2]
Why, may I ask, has he gone away?
I miss him more with each and every day
His time here on earth was far too brief
I keep telling my heart there is more than this grief
[Chorus]
He was my boy, my beautiful boy
He completed my life; he brought me such joy
Though he’s beyond the sky where I cannot see
His love is forever a part of me
He was my boy… and he always will be
[Verse 3]
I know You had a higher plan
Though why it was time, I may never understand
His eternal journey had only just begun
The angels brought him home when his work here was done
[Bridge]
He was needed in heaven
Lord, I place him in Your care
[Outro]
Rest in peace, my dear one
My heart is always near
He was my boy…
And he always will be.
Dedicated to my dear friend Kandi, whose loss I hold close to my heart.
In loving memory of Keith. May he rest in peace. 🙏🏻
When We Can't Find the Words
There are moments when grief leaves us searching for words. In the silence of loss, we hold on to love, memories, and the hope that those we cherish are never truly gone.
A Heavy Heart
By MicheleMK
It’s with a heavy heart that I write this goodbye,
The finality of death still brings tears to my eyes.
The emptiness that surrounds us and the silence death pursues,
Lead us to grief that lingers like the morning dew.
We are left with these emotions, left to carry this pain,
A familiar, aching sorrow that finds us once again.
How we bear the weight of grief depends on our human sight,
But beyond this earthly moment waits a realm of purest light.
A heaven filled with peace, where love gently restores the soul,
As God brings tender comfort and makes our spirits whole.
Eternal life, a promise that our souls live on,
A certainty that we are never truly gone. 🙏🏻
Beyond the Creative Process - How a Song Rises from a Poem
On the morning of November 1, 2026, I awoke thinking about a poem I had written, A Heavy Heart.
Something about those words stayed with me. I began imagining them as a song, but not just any song. I felt they could become something gentle, graceful, and heavenly, almost like a church hymn.
I hadn’t heard the entire melody. What I heard was its potential.
The final four lines of my poem seemed to belong in a chorus, one that would rise like a prayer. From there, the creative process began.
I worked on a bridge that would carry the emotion from sorrow toward faith, then added another verse to bring the song gently toward its ending.
When I finally listened to the first musical creation, I heard something beautiful. The chorus lifted, although not quite as much as I had imagined. But the ending surprised me. The music rose, creating a heavenly moment I hadn’t anticipated.
I may return to the song and explore another arrangement. For now, I want to let it rest and listen again with fresh ears.
That’s part of creating, too. Knowing when to explore, when to listen, and when to simply let something be.
What began as a poem about grief had found another voice through music.
And it all began with a thought upon waking.
I heard its potential...
A Heaven Filled with Peace was born.
