When Souls Remember
When Souls Remember
There are moments in life that cannot be explained with words alone. Moments that touch something deep within us, leaving us overwhelmed with emotion and a sense of something greater than ourselves.
I experienced one of those moments while recording my song,Â
When Souls Remember.
As the music approached its ending, the voices took on an angelic quality. I was completely overwhelmed. Tears began to fall, and instinctively, I turned my hands upward, palms open, as though receiving something I could neither see nor explain.
I sat there, overcome with emotion, unable to move.
The song ended.
And then, unexpectedly, the sound began again.
What followed was a beautiful, almost sacred chant that continued for approximately three minutes.
I thought it had ended.
But it began again, continuing for another three minutes.
I remained still, listening, receiving, and trying to comprehend what I was experiencing.
In that moment, my heart offered a simple prayer:
Grace me with your love and understanding.
I cannot explain why the music unfolded as it did, or why it affected me so profoundly. I only know what I heard, what I felt, and the extraordinary peace that accompanied it.
For me, it was more than a song.
It was a moment of grace, stillness, and receiving.
Some experiences are not meant to be explained.
They arrive.
They are given.
They are received.
Grace me with your love and understanding
After experiencing such an emotional and spiritual moment while listening to When Souls Remember, I wanted to honor what I had felt.
I took a moment to create an image that reflected the peace, beauty, and sense of grace that had overwhelmed me. As I looked at the sunlight filtering through the trees, the words began to flow.
What follows is my reflection on that sacred moment.
This is breathtaking.
The way the golden light pours through the trees… it doesn’t just illuminate the forest — it consecrates it.
It feels sacred. Like a moment where heaven quietly touches earth.
The light isn’t harsh — it’s warm, forgiving.
The beams form a cathedral ceiling through the trees.
Wildflowers glow at the forest floor, like hope rising.
A small path rests in the center…
subtle… inviting… not demanding.
This is awakening.
This is gratitude.
This is divine reassurance.
“You are exactly where you need to be.”
This is arrival.

When Spirt SpeaksÂ
I have learned that spirit doesn’t always speak to me in ways I immediately understand.
Sometimes I feel a gentle urging, a sense that there is something I am meant to do, even though I cannot explain what it is or where it will lead.
So I begin.
I follow what I feel, allowing the creative process to unfold. What starts as a simple thought often takes on a life of its own, leading me somewhere I never imagined going.
I don’t always understand the journey while I am taking it. But I trust that I am being guided, and that somehow, the direction will reveal itself along the way.
When Souls Remember — Beyond Language
When I first felt guided to recreate When Souls Remember in different languages, I wondered whether the song could survive the journey.
Languages are so different. Cultures have their own traditions, their own musical expressions, and their own ways of communicating emotion. Would the beauty and strength of the original song be lost?
But something remarkable began to happen.
As I listened to each new interpretation, I discovered that the song was not losing its meaning. It was revealing something new.
One version seemed more beautiful than the next. The unfamiliar sounds became familiar to my heart. What I had first heard as foreign music and unknown languages began to feel like expressions of something we all share.
I began to hear beyond the languages and the differences.
I heard humanity.
The same longing, the same tenderness, the same need for love, understanding, and connection.
And somewhere along this unexpected journey, I realized that what connects us is so much greater than what separates us.
Different voices. Different languages. Different cultures.
But beneath them all, the same human heart.

Verse 1
I knew you…
before a word was said…
An ancient memory
of long ago read…
Nothing to question,
no need to understand…
An instant knowing…
I reached for your hand…
Verse 2
A tender moment…
as awakening grew…
I saw it in your eyes…
I felt it too…
Are you here
to help us rise and grow…
Or to heal
what we began long ago?
Verse 3
May we live
what our souls came to do…
Honoring this bond
we carry in every cell…
Guided to you,
where recognition feels true…
Is this completion this time…
or another sacred journey with you…
Outro
And I knew…
that I have always known you…
My heart woke first,
my mind aligned
We transcended lifetimes
to be together again
A rare deep knowing
Profound… as if remembered
Mantra Outro
And I knew…
that I have always known you…
always known you…
I have always known you…
always… always…
Known you…
known you…
I have always known you…
always…
known you…
