Poetry Through My Eyes
Poetry Through My Eyes
What do you see?
It was a simple question I often asked when sharing an image with others. What fascinated me was how differently people responded. We could all be looking at the very same picture, yet each of us saw something different.
As time went on, I began to realize that certain photographs spoke to me in words. Others touched me so deeply that they brought tears to my eyes.
Sometimes I saw a story, sometimes an emotion, and sometimes something that seemed to reach beyond the image itself.
Those moments became my inspiration to write.
Through poetry, I began expressing not only what I saw, but what I felt.
Welcome to Poetry Through My Eyes.
Strength
Holding up the weight of the world,
At a crossroads in life, standing in a sea of emotion.
Stand tall, brave one—you are backed by your sisters in a swirl;
They come in numbers, and triumph with great Strength

Blanket Me
Blanket me so I can sleep
In your vastness my soul weeps
In awe of your beauty my thoughts creep
To oneness and wholeness that’s felt so deep

The Bench
Beneath the trees and the sky so blue,
My thoughts forever will be of you.
A space so precious, without a name,
Within my heart, where nothing can be the same.
I can still hear your voice and feel your love,
But your touch has faded in the light from above.
So I sit here often on this bench, close my eyes and dream
Of our happy times and the love we shared—
In another lifetime, it seems.

Reflections...
Benches hold stories. Some are whispered in laughter, others are soaked in tears, and some remain silent—known only to those who once sat there.
It’s the empty benches that stir my curiosity. Sometimes, I sit on one and wonder about the lives it has witnessed, the love it has held, and the memories it keeps.
Perhaps that’s why I wrote this poem—to honor the quiet places that still remember.
Hear Goes My Heart
In my element along
the shore
Among the treasures
my heart I wore
Years of tumbled
dreams I swore
To speak from a place
that knows not
more....

Jersey Dreams
Amusement parks, cotton candy,
The sound of waves crashing along the shoreline.
Seagulls calling loudly to my soul.
Kites in the air,
The scent of suntan lotion everywhere,
Sand between my toes…
Salt water heals my heart.
The sun’s warmth, gentle breezes,
Carousel music and candy apples…
Summer awakens all of my senses.
The night sky,
The cool ocean air, and you…
Under the boardwalk,
Where summers kiss our memories.
